CULT Store
Karachi, Pakistan | 2026

CULT is conceived as the physical expression of an e-commerce brand — translating an established digital identity into a distinctive, multi-layered retail destination. Rather than approaching the project as a conventional store, the design explores what it means for a predominantly online platform to occupy physical space: how architecture can give form to a brand, create opportunities for discovery, and build a world around the objects it presents.
Set across a multi-storey building, CULT brings together a diverse programme under one roof. Retail sits alongside dedicated studio and appointment spaces, the brand’s offices, and LSTN — a matcha bar and listening studio conceived as a more social and cultural extension of the store. The resulting environment moves beyond a singular retail function, allowing shopping, working, meeting, listening and gathering to overlap within the same building.

The spatial language is deliberately minimal, precise and adaptable. Rather than competing with the constantly changing collections, the architecture establishes a restrained framework within which clothing, objects and people become the primary layers of colour and movement. Open floor plates and lightweight display systems allow the retail environment to evolve, while curtains introduce a softer form of spatial division—creating moments of enclosure without compromising the openness of the plan.
A predominantly monochromatic palette reinforces this sense of restraint. Stainless steel becomes the defining material of the retail spaces, used not simply as a finish but as an architectural language in itself. Custom rails, shelving, display tables and surfaces are reduced to clean, almost infrastructural elements. Their reflective quality shifts subtly throughout the day, interacting with clothing, movement and light while giving the space an intentionally raw, contemporary character.
